What grading fixes

Common questions
How much does it cost to regrade a yard for drainage?
The size of the area, how much soil has to move, whether material must be brought in or hauled away, & access all change the price. A written scope & price follows the consultation.
What time of year is best to regrade a yard?
Dry, workable soil gives the best result, which usually means late spring through fall in Kansas. Grading wet clay compacts it badly & leaves ruts, so work is scheduled around conditions.
Can grading fix water in my basement?
Grading can stop surface water from running toward the foundation, which is often a big part of the problem. Water coming through the soil or a high water table may also need a French drain or other measures.
Is sod or seed included?
Final landscaping, seed or sod can be part of the same job; the written scope spells out what is included.
